The race with 2 main distances of 3km and 10km took place on March 23. Athletes of all ages will experience the race at My Dinh National Sports Complex.
The "racing: Youth and Hanoi" tournament is not simply a sporting event, but also a large community activity, encouraging people to participate in health training and improving sportsmanship. All proceeds from the race after deducting the cost of collecting through the ticket sales portal will be donated to the "Meat on the Com" program.
The race attracted nearly 1,000 athletes from all over the capital. With distances of 3km and 10km, this race is suitable for all ages, from beginners to professional athletes.
The race not only focuses on creating a playground for athletes but also aims to promote the sports movement in the community. This has made the race one of the most notable events of the year in Hanoi.
The participants are very diverse, from children, adolescents, to the elderly. This not only helps increase the number of participants but also creates opportunities for everyone to immerse themselves in the vibrant sports atmosphere.
Tran Minh Tuan - an 11th grade student majoring in Information Technology at Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted, founder of the project and also head of the tournament organizing committee - shared that "running: Youth and Hanoi" brings many values to the community.
This is not only an opportunity for people to exercise, but thereby, also to build solidarity between individuals, families and friends. When participating in the race, everyone will have the opportunity to connect and share beautiful moments together.
In addition, the race is also an opportunity to raise awareness of physical and mental health. An active lifestyle through exercise not only improves health but also helps improve the quality of life.
It is known that the "Running: Youth and Hanoi" race is a non-profit project founded by students living and working in Hanoi to organize a race of the same name for students and people of the capital.
The project not only encourages the passion for running and physical exercise but also raises funds to support education. All proceeds will be transferred to the " Meat Com" program under the "High-lying Poorrow Fund", helping to provide nutritious meals, warm clothes, school supplies and facilities for poor students in mountainous areas.
