On the morning of April 26, at the WTC EXPO International Exhibition Center (Thu Dau Mot City), the Binh Duong New City Half Marathon 2025 officially opened, attracting more than 5,000 domestic and international athletes.
The tournament is organized by the Binh Duong Provincial Athletics Federation in coordination with Huynh Thai Loc Sports Company and other units, a key activity to celebrate major holidays.
Notably, the tournament has the participation of many foreign experts from 30 countries living and working in industrial parks inside and outside the province. Athletes compete in distances of 1.2km, 5km, 10km and 21km on modern routes of Binh Duong New City.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Cao Van Chon - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province emphasized the tournament not only encouraged the physical training movement to follow Uncle Ho's example, but also a healthy sports playground, connecting the domestic and international community. He and the provincial leaders also presented gifts to the sponsors.
The Half Marathon is part of a series of exciting sports events in Binh Duong on the occasion of April 30 and May 1, along with the traditional boat racing tournament, the ITF J30 international tennis tournament, the young business sports festival and special art performances.
