With the consent of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF), the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province and Becamex IDC organized the ATF U14 tournament.
The matches will take place from March 24 to April 6 at the Community Sports Center, Binh Duong New City.
The tournament attracted 60 young talents from 13 countries and territories such as Singapore, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, India... The players will compete in 4 events including: Men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles.
The Vietnam team sent a strong force with the participation of top players at the U14 age group such as Le Tien Anh (Army unit), Vu Tuan Phong (Hanoi), Nguyen Khac Nguyen (HCMC) ...
The tournament is organized to create opportunities for young Vietnamese tennis players to compete with opponents from many places around the world, and at the same time, it is an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its position on the world youth tennis map. Through the tournament, players also have the opportunity to accumulate points on the ATF U14 youth rankings.
The VTF focuses on training and rejuvenating the force. Organizing international tournaments right in Vietnam will help young athletes compete at home, competing with other tennis players from all over the world.
The U14 players are all bright faces, with the potential to achieve international achievements. These will be the future stars of Vietnamese tennis, said Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Tennis Federation, Head of the tournament organizing committee at the opening ceremony.
In addition to this tournament, VTF will also coordinate with relevant units to organize 2 ITF U18 J30 International Tennis Tournaments from April 14 to 27 and 2 ATF U14 Becamex IDC Cup 2024 Asian Tennis Tournaments from June 9 to June 25. The venue is also in Binh Duong.
