Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Cao Van Chong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province, Head of the Organizing Committee; along with representatives of departments, branches, Karate federations of provinces, coaches, referees and athletes from many localities in the region.
This year's tournament brings together more than 97 athletes from 9 delegations from provinces and cities such as Tay Ninh, An Giang, Tra Vinh, Can Tho, Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh City and host Binh Duong.

The competition events include Kata (technical performance) and Kumite (opposite) individuals and teammates in many weight categories, taking place from June 16 to 18.
Through the tournaments, Binh Duong Karate has proven its position as one of the strong units with many outstanding athletes. In 2024, at the Asian Youth Karate Championship held in the Philippines, athlete Truong Nam Tien of Binh Duong excellently won the silver medal in the 55kg U21 men's event. Currently, the province is contributing 1 coach and 1 athlete to the national team.

The tournament is a vivid testament to the investment and development of high-performance sports in Binh Duong in particular and the Southeast region in general.
