Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) group: Contribute over 30% of the coaching staff and athletes participating in the Vietnamese Sports Delegation and 30% of the number of gold medals to the overall achievements of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) - Thailand 2025.
National Sports Festival group: Winning first place overall at the 10th National Sports Festival in 2026.
Asian Games (ASIAD) Group: Play a key role in contributing good coaches, athletes and competition achievements for Vietnamese sports at the 20th Asian Games in Japan in 2026.
Group of sports with the potential to qualify for the Olympic round: Strive to have 2 to 3 excellent athletes who meet Olympic standards to participate in the 2028 Olympics.
Newly developed sports: Investing in building and developing other new sports within the national and international competition system.
Strive to complete and exceed the number of 2,700 medals of all kinds. Specifically: Domestic 2,262 medals including 750 gold medals, 762 silver medals and 750 bronze medals; International 438 medals, including 111 gold medals, 142 silver medals, 185 bronze medals. The expected medal target of Hanoi sports at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games - SEA Games is 26-27 gold medals, 17 silver medals, 23 bronze medals.
Implementation solution
Development and building of forces: Training athletes; Training and fostering coaches and managers of high-performance sports.
Host national and international competitions: Coordinate with the Department of Physical Training and Sports - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Federations, and National Sports Associations to host national, regional, Asian and world competitions.
Investment in facilities: Speed up the implementation of projects to renovate, upgrade, repair, modernize, and synchronize works to meet international standards, ensuring facilities, equipment, and training tools for training, practice, and competition at the Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center.
Cooperation, exchange, and learning from experience: Strengthen coordination between Hanoi and the Department of Physical Education and Sports, National Sports Training Centers, Federations, and Associations of national and international sports to select prestigious, high-quality training facilities and sports training centers with strengths in training in high-performance sports in countries with advanced high-performance sports.
Socialization of sports: Create conditions for large enterprises, corporations, organizations and individuals to invest in building and operating athlete training facilities and participate in sponsoring and funding sports teams and talented athletes.
