Vietnam is entering an era of national growth, requiring comprehensive development of " quantity" and "quality" of the business community.

Developing a comprehensive and inclusive business community

Recently, General Secretary To Lam, on behalf of the Politburo, signed Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on Private Economic Development with many breakthrough ideas, with the goal of striving for Vietnam to have 2 million enterprises operating in the economy by 2030, with 20 enterprises operating/people. There are at least 20 large enterprises participating in the global value chain. The Party and the Government also set a goal of developing a rapid, sustainable, efficient, and high-quality private economy, considering this a key, urgent task and a long-term strategic one.

For sustainable development, in addition to the number of enterprises, the quality of enterprises is an urgent issue that is not only a concern of the Party and the Government, but also a responsibility and self-respect of the business community.

On the afternoon of 10.5.2025, speeching at the seminar "The new era - the era of the development of the nation's strong and prosperous development" opened for the 30th anniversary of Hanoi's establishment and received the First Labor Medal, Dr. Mac Quoc Anh - Vice President, General Secretary of the Hanoi Small and Medium Enterprise Association (Hanoiisme), highly appreciated the growth of the economy over the period. In 1975, Vietnam embarked on the country after the war with the exhausted economy, the average income per capita was only about 200 USD/year. However, from the renovation stage (1986) has created a new turning point. By 2023, GDP per capita reached 4.284 USD, the economy scale was about 430 billion USD, ranked 5th ASEAN and 35 worlds; Export turnover exceeded 355 billion USD; The small and medium -sized enterprise sector contributes more than 45% of GDP and creates 65% of jobs.

Vietnam is emerging as a center for software, semiconductor, and information technology processing services, attracting many large global corporations to invest, including leading corporations such as: NVIDIA, Samsung, Foxconn, Amkor... - Dr. Mac Quoc Anh emphasized.

Enterprises contribute to realizing global aspirations

Dr. Mac Quoc Anh said that Vietnam aims to be a developing country by 2030 with a modern industry, high average income, by 2045 to strive to become a developed country, income, but to achieve that goal, Vietnam faces many challenges, requiring the efforts of the whole system, needing an extensive action coalition: The government plays the "conductor", the reform of the right to the property, the reform of the property, the reform of the property. Enterprises are "main players", dare to think big, do real, persistent innovation. The financial and banking system provides conditions for businesses to develop. In addition, the training system, experts support solutions and it is important that consumers contribute responsible consumer ecosystems.

To realize the aspiration of a strong nation, Dr. Mac Quoc Anh proposed that Vietnam build 3 new strategic breakthroughs. First, break through institutions, perfect the state to create development. Specifically, the Strategic Investment Law ( soon to be submitted to the National Assembly) should prioritize green production, semiconductors, and high technology. At the same time, promote the implementation of the International Financial Center Project (Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang) to attract global capital flows.

Second, break through synchronous and modern infrastructure. Vietnam needs to speed up the implementation of 3,000km of high-speed; North-South high-speed railway; Can Gio international transit port.

For digital infrastructure, it is necessary to have 100% 5G coverage by 2030, a national data center with Tier IV standards, and a new fiber optic cable network.

Third, break through high-quality human resources. Programs of 100,000 semiconductor engineers and 1 million digital economic experts also need to be strongly implemented.
