More than 10,128 newly registered enterprises in February 2025 show confidence in improving the business environment and support policies of the State.

More than 10,000 newly established enterprises

According to data from the Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance), in February 2025, the whole country will have more than 10,100 newly established enterprises. With a registered capital of nearly 136.4 trillion VND, an increase of 45% in registered capital compared to January 2025. Compared to the same period last year, the number of enterprises increased by 34.4%, more than 2.1 times the registered capital.

The average registered capital of a newly established enterprise in the month reached 13.5 billion VND, more than 1.5 times higher than the previous month and nearly 1.6 times higher than the same period last year. In addition, the whole country also has nearly 7.1 thousand enterprises returning to operation, down 69.1% compared to the previous month and up 32.1% over the same period in 2024.

In the first two months of 2025, the whole country had nearly 20.8 thousand newly registered enterprises with a total registered capital of more than 230.4 trillion VND. The average registered capital of a newly established enterprise in the first two months of this year reached 11.1 billion VND, up 15.1% over the same period in 2024. The total registered capital added to the economy in the first two months of the year was VND 709.4 trillion, 66.1% over the same period in 2024.

In addition, the whole country has nearly 29,100 enterprises returning to operation (an increase of 53.2% over the same period in 2024). Increased the total number of newly established and returning to operation in the first two months of 2025 to more than 49,8 thousand enterprises, an increase of 19.3% over the same period in 2024. On average, more than 24,9 thousand newly established and returning to operation enterprises per month.

According to the Department of Private Enterprise Development and Collective Economy (Ministry of Finance), the situation of newly registered enterprises in February 2025 has recorded significant improvement. This shows a positive signal in business start-up activities, the confidence of entrepreneurs in improving the business environment and the State's support policies.

Enterprises still face many challenges

According to data from the Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance), in February 2025, the number of enterprises withdrawing from the market, especially enterprises temporarily suspending business, will remain high.

There were 3,554 enterprises registered to temporarily suspend business for a period of time, down 93.3% compared to the previous month and down 30.9% compared to the same period in 2024. There are 2,971 enterprises that have stopped operations pending dissolution procedures and 1,737 enterprises have completed dissolution procedures.

In the first two months of 2025, nearly 56,9 thousand enterprises temporarily suspended business for a period of time, an increase of 15.5% over the same period last year. Nearly 6,400 businesses have stopped operations pending dissolution procedures, down 36.3%. Nearly 3.8 thousand enterprises completed dissolution procedures, up 10.3%. On average, more than 33,500 businesses withdraw from the market each month.

The Department of Private Enterprise Development and Collective Economy stated that businesses still face many challenges. Therefore, improving the business environment and supporting businesses to overcome difficulties will be the key to promoting the sustainable development of the economy.
