On April 19, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested some localities in the western region to soon link production according to the value chain, support export businesses to develop and exploit agricultural potential.

The areas of communes such as Ia Ly, Ia Phi, Chu Pah, Ia Khuol (Gia Lai province) own a large agricultural land fund, suitable for growing key export crops such as bananas, durians, coffee... to stabilize people's lives.

However, the socio-economy has not yet developed commensurate with its potential; the lives of a part of the people are still difficult, although standing on a fertile raw material area.
Provincial leaders assessed that key officials in some localities have not firmly grasped the development potential and specific resources in the area; there are no specific plans and projects, leading to confusion and failure to create breakthroughs in development.
The shift from "management" thinking to "construction, service" is not clear; not really taking people and businesses as the center.

Meanwhile, production activities in the area are still fragmented and small-scale; lacking linkages and the orientation role of the government in forming value chains.
Gia Lai requires commune officials to be attached and dedicated to the land where they work; to form specialized areas for industrial crops and fruit trees with economic value.

Communes such as Ia Ly, Ia Phi orient the development of cage aquaculture associated with experiential tourism, community tourism; and effectively exploit tourist attractions such as Cong Chua waterfall, ancient rock stream, Ia Mo Nong lake, Kep village...

In addition, communes must proactively attract investment and develop agriculture in the direction of applying high technology; form concentrated production areas for fruit trees and appropriate-scale livestock.
Commune officials and authorities should propose a breakthrough mechanism to the province, avoiding trivial or purely professional, matter-related petitions...

The People's Committees of Chu Pah, Ia Ly, Ia Khuol and Ia Phi communes closely coordinate with Vinh Hiep Co., Ltd. to develop a plan to link the value chain of coffee products in the area. This is a large-scale agricultural export enterprise, mainly to foreign markets and Europe with strict technical standards.

This enterprise is among the few pioneering units linking with farmers to produce coffee with an area of thousands of hectares. Thereby, gradually increasing the value of agricultural products, stabilizing and improving income for people.
