On April 9, in Khanh Hoa, the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agriculture Zone coordinated with the Khanh Hoa Department of Science and Technology to organize the launch of the "Innovative Startup in the field of high-tech agricultural application in 2026" contest.
With the theme "Circular Agriculture - Creating a Green Future", the contest was launched to promote innovative solutions in agriculture, contributing to building a modern production base, adapting to global trends.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien - Deputy Head of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agriculture Zone, Vietnamese agriculture is facing the requirement of comprehensive transformation.
From a traditional production sector, agriculture is gradually becoming an integrated economic space, where value is determined by technology, standards and the ability to participate in the global value chain.
In the context of implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science, technology and digital transformation, the contest held for the 2nd year is expected to be a specific step to bring strategic orientations into practice.
In the North Central Coast and Central Coast regions, including Khanh Hoa, innovation activities in agriculture are being promoted, especially in areas with advantages such as aquaculture, marine economy and sustainable production.

Many circular agricultural models have shown clear effectiveness. Typically, the Nha Ho Institute of Cotton Research and Agricultural Development has applied the TN0 apple cultivation model combining green manure plants, net house techniques and precision irrigation, helping to improve productivity and product quality.
In addition, the trend of taking advantage of agricultural by-products to create new products is also opening up promising directions. BioWraps Solution Joint Stock Company has developed food wrap from orange peels into biodegradable materials, with an output of about 200 tons per month.
According to business representatives, converting waste into resources not only brings economic efficiency but also contributes to reducing emissions, towards the goal of net zero emissions by 2050.
The 2026 competition focuses on technology application solutions such as artificial intelligence, big data and the Internet of Things in agriculture; while promoting circular production models, reducing emissions, improving traceability and adapting to climate change.
According to the Organizing Committee, the contest does not only stop at searching for ideas but also supports practical implementation for winning projects through training, in-depth advisors and investment resource connections. At the same time, models are encouraged to develop according to the value chain, associated with market needs and expand in scale nationwide.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also signed a cooperation agreement with the Department of Science and Technology of Khanh Hoa and Nha Trang University, to strengthen links in the high-tech agricultural startup ecosystem.
