On June 10, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Phan Hoai Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh province said that to stabilize the market and develop sustainable business, business households need to strictly comply with legal regulations, especially not assisting in the trading of counterfeit goods.
At the same time, businesses need to be transparent in their buying and selling activities, fully fulfill tax obligations and proactively build their own reputation and brand to attract consumers and tourists.
Mr. Nam called on traders in large markets such as Dong Hoi market and Ga market to actively respond to the instructions of the Central Government and the Prime Minister on combating counterfeit goods and trade fraud, creating trust with consumers.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper, after more than a week of closing, many traders and businesses at Dong Hoi market have not yet fully re-established their activities. Many kiosks in the main area continue to close, many businesses are doing business at a low level, exploring market reactions.
Dong Hoi Market Management Board said that about 60% of traders have reopened. However, the sentiment of a part of traders is still reserved due to concerns that inspection and handling of violations are being carried out simultaneously. Some households do not fully understand specific information about the scope and criteria of the inspection, so they have temporarily suspended operations to avoid risks.
In addition, Mr. Vo Quoc Thinh - Head of Dong Hoi Market Management Board commented that the shopping trend shifting to e-commerce also significantly affects purchasing power at traditional markets.
To support small traders to stabilize their business, the Management Board has proposed solutions such as: increasing legal communication, organizing periodic dialogues between small traders and the government, checking according to a reasonable roadmap, and being ready for legal support when necessary.
