According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade on January 26, with the goal of trade and investment promotion to expand market relations, connect businesses in the field of industry - trade and import-export services at the beginning of 2026, the Trade Branch (CNTV) - Vietnamese Consulate General in Houston has organized many activities to strengthen connections and introduce Vietnamese large enterprises through the South American Regional Chambers of Commerce.
On January 14-15, 2026, CNTV Houston organized a direct seminar with 2 US Associations and representatives of THACO Industries Group, with the participation of more than 60 delegates who are representatives of businesses from the two countries (some businesses participating online from Vietnam include CMC Global Company under CMC Technology Group, some industrial parks, Trade Promotion and Investment Support Center under the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade), some professors, intellectuals working at universities and agencies in the United States and Vietnam.
From 2025 to now, CNTV Houston has introduced a number of US partner businesses to THACO Industries Group to connect trade promotion production - investment, the US business has a working delegation to Vietnam to visit Chu Lai Industrial Park, and partners are gradually implementing production and import-export cooperation activities in the coming time.

At events organized by CNTV, representatives of leaders of large Vietnamese enterprises (including THACO Industries Group in the US and CMC Global - a unit belonging to CMC Technology Group) had the opportunity to present the capabilities of corporations and development orientations with the US market, partner search plans, and projects in many high-tech industries. THACO and CMC corporations also had the opportunity to approach associations and US Chambers of Commerce and Industry, connecting hundreds of businesses in many fields to share knowledge and business opportunities in the coming time.
In the presentation and exchange at the seminar organized by CNTV at the beginning of 2026: Professors Huynh The Du and Professor Tran Luong Son, who are overseas Vietnamese intellectuals in the United States, also participated in presenting and enthusiastically discussing with participating partners at the Seminar on research topics promoting economic development, trade, technology transfer, startups and practical application experiences in the United States... Many presentations and opinions from businesses of the two countries also focused on sharing market information, partner search needs, analyzing economic models, import-export - investment solutions and business development trends in 2026, forecasts of impact on socio-economics and consumer groups in the coming time...
Regarding the experience of connecting US partners for foreign enterprises (SOEs): Mr. Jagdip Ahluwalia - CEO, Representative of the US-Indian Chamber of Commerce in Houston (IACC) - said that businesses should not rush when they first set foot in a new market like the US to directly find partners, but should coordinate with local partners, professional functional agencies, licensed partners and experience to approach (such as through Vietnamese trade offices, associations or consulting companies, partners in the same industry) to verify partner capacity before connecting, then it will be closer, longer-term and more effective.
Mr. Sam Chang - Representative of the Asian Chamber of Commerce in Houston (ACC-Asian Chamber of Commerce in Houston), which has more than 500 member businesses in many fields, expressed his willingness to share experiences to support Asian businesses when accessing the US market; introduce new partners and investment opportunities for Vietnamese businesses in the US market, said that ACC - Asian Chamber of Commerce has a Board specializing in supporting the Vietnamese market.
To support and promote the development of Vietnamese businesses to the United States, CNTV Houston has invited a number of business owners, overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs, and consulting experts in Houston to the New Year's seminar to share direct experiences in creating, managing, and operating businesses in the United States. Businessmen wish to continue connecting with partners to support and develop the Vietnam-US business community network in the future.
