On the afternoon of March 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced that the unit is implementing a comprehensive health care program for subjects being cared for at social protection centers on the occasion of the Vietnam Social Work Day (March 5).
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has assigned 16 general and specialized hospitals to comprehensively support health care activities for subjects being cared for and managed at social protection centers, including medical examination and treatment activities and other activities related to the health sector.
In particular, specialized hospitals such as the Mental Hospital, the Rehabilitation and occupational disease treatment Hospital, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, traditional medicine hospitals, etc. proactively support remote consultation, organize consultations and have a plan for regular specialist examinations at each specialty's sponsorship center, instead of transporting patients to hospitals.
District, county and city general hospitals signed a comprehensive support for health care for subjects in the centers. At the same time, priority is given to strengthening and improving the capacity of health stations of the centers to be signed by the Social Insurance agency for medical examination and treatment contracts according to the internal medicine clinic model.
Training to improve first aid skills, on-site emergency care and support the transportation of patients to hospitals for emergency care will be undertaken by the 115 Emergency Center.
In addition, the Department of Health assigned functional departments to proactively guide sponsoring centers to implement professional and technical processes to ensure compliance with regulations, and develop quality criteria related to health care activities at social protection centers.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health continues to coordinate with the Departments of Health of Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, and Lam Dong provinces in implementing health insurance examination and treatment for subjects currently being cared for at social protection centers located in the provinces; requesting district-level health centers and general hospitals of the provinces to continue supporting the transportation of emergency care for patients.
