On June 21, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province organized a fire fighting, rescue and relief drill at Tan Cang Cai Mep cluster (under Tan Cang Saigon Corporation).
More than 340 officers, soldiers, workers of the police, military, medical forces, specialized Fire Prevention and Fighting Teams..., along with 55 motor vehicles of all kinds participated in the drill.
The hypothetical situation of the drill is as follows: at 9:00 a.m., at the cargo export area of Bridge B1, TCCT port - Tan Cang Cai Mep cluster, a fire broke out on a container ship approaching the port. The fire developed rapidly, causing the crew on the boat to panic, 12 crew members escaped by wearing life jackets and jumping into the sea; and 18 crew members trapped on the boat's deck panicked and called for help.
At the same time, the cargo bay area also collided between 2 container trucks, causing the 2 drivers to lose consciousness and the door of the truck to deform, so the 2 victims could not be taken out.
The contents of the drill set out high requirements in resolving difficult situations and continuous incidents, especially rescue in port areas, loading and unloading goods... Thereby, allowing units to self-inspect and review professional qualifications, fire prevention and fighting management forces... At the same time, evaluate the effectiveness of the regulations on coordination in implementing fire prevention and fighting and rescue safety work of the cluster of enterprise agencies built in the past.
