Lam Dong - Nearly 300 decades-old urban trees in Bao Loc city had to be moved and cut down to serve the road construction project.

According to the license, the People's Committee of Bao Loc City allows the investor, the Construction Investment Project Management Board, to cut down and relocate 289 urban trees of all kinds to implement the Hoang Van Thu Street Upgrade and Expansion Project.

Of which, the number of trees allowed to be cut down is 85, including 20 pine trees, 50 eucalyptus trees, 10 tamarind trees, 3 Osaka trees, 1 bringon tree and 1 cajuput tree.

Along with that, the number of trees moving on Hoang Van Thu Street is 204 trees of all kinds.

The People's Committee of Bao Loc City assigned the Construction Investment Project Management Board to develop a plan to plant and replace trees.

The number of replacement crops must be at least three times the number of cut down trees, and must be consistent with the types, technical standards and landscape of the Hoang Van Thu Street Upgrade and Expansion Project.

The planting of urban trees must comply with technical procedures, ensuring the correct type, tree standards, and safety during planting and care. Newly planted trees need to be protected and firmly supported to ensure good growth.

Trees must be periodically inspected and cared for to monitor development and promptly handle impacts on the trees.
