On the occasion of International Museum Day and Vietnam Science and Technology Day May 18, the Da Nang Museum in collaboration with the Goethe Institute and Max Planck Association organized a scientific exhibition with the theme Universe - Human - Intelligence (UMI).
The event brings the public to access advanced scientific research in Germany through a journey to explore the origin of the universe, the history of human evolution, the human brain, the Age of Man and artificial intelligence (AI). The exhibition raises major questions of the era such as the formation of the universe, extraterrestrial life, brain function and ethical limits when humans coexist with machines.

Ms. Thai Mai Lan - Director of the Goethe Institute in Ho Chi Minh City - shared that the exhibition affirms the important role of science in German culture. At the same time, the event also introduces international cooperation networks, opening up opportunities for students and young researchers in Vietnam.
With high forms of interaction, the exhibition uses a variety of means such as graphics, models, films, podcasts and modern technology. Visitors experience a journey of discovery through the Discovery Passport, under the guidance of scientific communication experts.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Huynh Dinh Quoc Thien - Director of the Da Nang Museum - affirmed that the exhibition brings a deep perspective on the position of humans in the universe. The Da Nang Museum's hosting of this event is in line with the development trend of modern museums, contributing to promoting the spirit of love for science and innovation in the community.
The exhibition is an opportunity to diversify public service activities, strengthen cultural and educational exchanges between Vietnam and Germany," Mr. Thien emphasized.
Before arriving in Da Nang, the UMI exhibition was successfully held in many major cities in Europe, Asia and in Hanoi in early 2026. This is the second stop of this journey in Vietnam.
