On April 1, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ngai Provincial Police said that it had just issued a Decision to prosecute a criminal case, a Decision to prosecute the accused and an Order to arrest the accused for temporary detention against defendant T.M. H for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property", as stipulated in Clause 4, Article 174 of the Penal Code.
Accordingly, on November 24, 2025, T.M. H (born 1996), residing in hamlet 3, Long Phung commune, Quang Ngai province, rented a Mitsubishi Xpander car, license plate: 76A-212. 42 from Mr. T.C. H (born 1996), residing in hamlet 5, Mo Cay commune, Quang Ngai province, for 1.3 million VND/day.
After receiving the car, T.M. H brought the car to meet Mr. N.V.T (born 1976), in Cam Thanh ward, Quang Ngai province, to pawn it for 130 million VND. After the car rental period expired, H. did not return the car, so Mr. H. investigated and discovered that H. had pawned the car.
During the investigation, it was determined that T.M. H had fled to Cambodia. On March 25, 2026, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ngai Provincial Police coordinated with Moc Bai International Border Gate Border Guard Station - Tay Ninh to arrest T.M. H when the subject was completing entry procedures into Vietnam.
Expanding the investigation, in addition to the above case, T.M. H also committed a similar case. On November 25, 2025, T.M. H rented a car, license plate: 76A-223. 21; brand: Toyota Avanza from Mr. N.H. H for 800,000 VND/day. After receiving the car, T.M. H took the car to meet Mr. H.V. T (born 1999), residing at No. 1078 Quang Trung, Cam Thanh ward, Quang Ngai province, mortgaging it for 240 million VND.
The investigating agency announced that anyone who is a victim of T.M. H should contact the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ngai Provincial Police at 201 Tran Hung Dao, Cam Thanh ward, Quang Ngai province for resolution.
