On March 24, information from Soc Trang Provincial Police, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Provincial Police coordinated with Ward 3 Police (Soc Trang City) to catch Pham Vi Thien (born in 1961, residing at 248 15, Hamlet 2, Ward 3) red-handed for illegally storing drugs.
At around 8:30 a.m. the same day, upon receiving a report from the people and using professional measures, the police discovered that Vi Thien was standing in front of house number 248/40A, 30/4 street, Hamlet 2, Ward 3 (Soc Trang city) with suspicious signs, so they conducted an inspection. Through the inspection, the authorities seized 2 plastic bags and 2 plastic pipes containing white substances suspected to be drugs.
Conducting an emergency search of Thien's residence, the authorities seized 2 bags, 29 plastic bags and 30 plastic pipes containing white substances suspected to be drugs. Through quick work, the subject admitted that all 2 bags, 31 plastic bags and 32 plastic pipes were drugs. Through a quick test, the subject tested positive for drugs.
The case is being further investigated and handled by the authorities according to the provisions of law.
