On June 22, according to Hung Yen Provincial Police, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency has initiated a criminal case, prosecuted defendants and temporarily detained 4 subjects to investigate the act of organizing the illegal use of drugs.
According to investigation documents, on June 14, 2026, Thai Thuy Commune Police inspected the house of Nguyen Thanh Cong (born 1985, commonly known as Anh Cuoi, residing in hamlet No. 7, Thai Thuy commune, Hung Yen province), discovering 4 subjects illegally using drugs.
Subjects include: Nguyen Thanh Cong; Nguyen Phu Hai (born 1989); Nguyen Ngoc Duy (born 1998) and Do Dong Thanh (born 1998), live in Nam O Trinh village, Thai Thuy commune, Hung Yen province.
At the scene, the police force seized 1 set of ice drug use tools, 5 mobile phones and 1 motorbike. Through struggle, the subjects admitted their violations.
Based on the initial investigation results and collected documents and evidence, on June 17, 2026, the Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue an arrest warrant for Nguyen Thanh Cong, Nguyen Phu Hai, Nguyen Ngoc Duy and Do Dong Thanh for the crime of "Organizing the illegal use of narcotics" under Clause 2, Article 255 of the Penal Code.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and expanded by the Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Provincial Police and handled according to the provisions of law.
