On December 10, Thien Hanh General Hospital (Dak Lak province) held a conference to evaluate electronic medical records to assess the readiness to deploy electronic medical records to replace paper records in medical examination and treatment activities.
This is an important step in the medical digital transformation roadmap, towards building a modern hospital model, optimizing processes and improving management efficiency.

Mr. Le Dang Trung - Director of Thien Hanh General Hospital - said: "The hospital has fully prepared infrastructure, technology and human resources to deploy electronic medical records according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health. From there, aiming to build a paperless hospital, standardize data connectivity and perfect the electronic medical record system in the digital transformation roadmap of the health sector".
Mr. Pham Minh Huu - Deputy Director of the Department of Health - said: "The hospital has been proactive in implementation and affirmed that the application of electronic medical records is a key task in the digital transformation process of the whole industry. At the same time, the unit needs to ensure the safety and confidentiality of electronic medical records data according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health to meet the requirements of medical examination and treatment for people".
According to Mr. Huu, 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities in the area are qualified to deploy electronic medical records. This is a key task, a breakthrough in management innovation and digital transformation in the health sector to contribute to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment. Currently, medical facilities in the province have replaced paper medical records with electronic medical records, meeting the requirements of technology infrastructure, professional processes and information security.
At the conference, the hospital announced the decision to establish a professional council to consider the use and storage of electronic medical records instead of paper records; storage and transmission of medical images instead of printing films. At the same time, store testing information instead of printing paper. The Council is responsible for assessing the technical infrastructure conditions, professional processes and the level of compliance of the information technology system.
