On January 4, the Criminal Techniques Department (Kien Giang Provincial Police) said it had assisted Phu Quoc City Police in appraising and testing drugs in the illegal drug trafficking case that occurred in Quarter 10, Duong Dong Ward.
Previously, the Phu Quoc City Police force coordinated with the Coast Guard Region 4 Command to catch red-handed P.N.G (born in 1996, residing in An Giang province) selling drugs. G drove a motorbike to the road near the gate of the Phu Quoc City Martyrs Cemetery and threw a paper package containing 5 tablets and 2 bags of synthetic drugs, selling them to a woman named A (unknown background) before being controlled and arrested by the police force.
Through quick investigation, subject G confessed that the drugs were sold for 6 million VND. The police force conducted an inspection at the rented room where subject G was renting and discovered 33 more bags of synthetic drugs (in pill and grain form).
After conducting an examination, the substances in the bag and the tablets were all synthetic drugs. Currently, the police force has temporarily detained G to investigate the illegal drug trafficking.
