Arrested for synthetic drugs, search of residence found more heroin

Quang Tri - Cam Lo district police arrested a man transporting synthetic drugs, and when searching his residence, they discovered more heroin.

On January 11, Cam Lo District Police confirmed that they had arrested L.V.Q (born in 1980, residing in Cam Nghia Commune, Cam Lo District, Quang Tri Province) for illegal drug trafficking.

Previously, at around 9:30 p.m. on January 8, the Cam Lo District Police working group discovered L.V.Q driving a motorbike on National Highway 9 in the direction of Lao Bao - Dong Ha City with suspicious signs.

Following the subject closely, at 10:45 p.m. the same day, at Km11+500, National Highway 9, Northern bypass (Thanh An commune, Cam Lo district), the working group controlled and arrested the subject.

A quick inspection at the scene revealed that in the trunk of the motorbike there were 2 yellow nylon blocks containing many pink and blue tablets suspected to be synthetic drugs of the pink type, estimated to be about 12,000 tablets.

Conducting an emergency search of the suspect's residence, 7 more plastic bags containing white powder, suspected to be heroin, were discovered and seized.

Initially, the subject confessed that all the tablets were synthetic drugs of the pink type, and the 7 plastic bags containing the above mentioned white powder were heroin that the subject bought and hid to resell for profit.
