On November 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard said that its affiliated units have coordinated with local authorities and people to organize activities to wrap banh tet to send to people in the Central region who are suffering damage caused by natural disasters and floods.
At Phuoc Thuan Border Guard Station, officers and soldiers coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Tram commune (HCMC) to package nearly 400 banh tet. Previously, the ingredients for wrapping and cooking the cakes were prepared urgently and carefully; demonstrating the sense of responsibility and sharing of the Border Guard force towards the people in areas heavily affected by natural disasters.
Binh Chau Border Guard Station has coordinated with the Women's Union of Binh Chau Commune (HCMC) and people of Binh Hoa Hamlet to organize a package of 450 banh tet to send to people in localities affected by floods in the Central region... The banh tet will be delivered to affected localities to partly support people to soon stabilize their lives.
Through meaningful activities, officers and soldiers of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard, local authorities and people of Ho Chi Minh City hope to send a message, enhancing the spirit of national solidarity, "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves". Thereby, contributing to helping people in flooded areas overcome difficulties and disasters.
