Accompanying Can Tho youths to join the army in 2025, organizations and units in the city have organized many practical activities to encourage and motivate the new recruits, thereby demonstrating the community's concern for the cause of protecting the Fatherland.
In particular, the activity of wrapping and cooking banh tet to give to new recruits before joining the army received a lot of response and contribution, creating a lively and warm atmosphere.

At the headquarters of the People's Committee of Tan Thoi commune, Phong Dien district, women were excited to participate in wrapping and cooking banh tet. The activity was also accompanied by the leaders of the District Party Committee, bringing great spiritual encouragement to the new recruits of the locality.
The nimble hands carefully wrapped each green banh tet, containing warm feelings. The space was filled with laughter, mixed with the unique flavor of banh tet, creating a beautiful and simple picture of the military enlistment festival.

Ms. Nguyen Ho Phuong Thao - Chairman of Tan Thoi Commune People's Committee - shared that making banh tet is a meaningful activity during each military farewell in the area, contributing to creating a vibrant atmosphere, encouraging the spirit of young people to be steadfast in their duty to the Fatherland.
This year, the political and social organizations of the communes and towns of Phong Dien district wrapped and cooked over 1,000 banh tet to give to the young men leaving for military service during the military enlistment ceremony on the morning of February 13. Other activities such as decorating the military camp and giving gifts were also carefully organized.

Thousands of banh tet have been wrapped and cooked deliciously, with all the passion and affection of the makers. Each cake is like a good wish, a meaningful gift, giving strength to the new soldiers to set out on their sacred duty.
Ms. Le Thi Thuy Hang - Vice President of Can Tho City Women's Union - informed that, in order to carry out the work of the military rear, the Women's Union at all levels of the city organized to package more than 5,000 banh tet, banh la dua, banh it... to give to young men leaving for military service; at the same time, organized visits, encouragement and gifts for new recruits.

In 2025, Can Tho City will have 2,017 citizens enlisted to serve in units under the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security. The city will assign troops to the following units: Division 330, Brigade 226, Brigade 29 and the Can Tho City Military Command (under Military Region 9); Division 375, Division 367, Division 370 (under the Air Defense - Air Force) and Naval Region 2.
Military Service Councils at all levels have deployed public, fair and regulated recruitment work, ensuring the quality of recruitment. The military recruitment camp and the military handover ceremony in 2025 took place on February 12 and 13.
According to the assessment, the quality of young people joining the army this year in Can Tho City is higher than last year; in which, the technical expertise level is over 27%; the party membership rate is nearly 3%; health level 1, type 2 is nearly 50%. The city has done a good job in the military recruitment policy with nearly 5 billion VND to support families and young people going to join the army.
