On April 14, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee inspected the preparations for the Gia Lai International Youth Football Festival 2026. At the same time, inspected the preparation activities for the Gia Lai Provincial Ethnic Culture Day event.
These are highlight activities for the 2026 National Tourism Year, expected to have a large number of tourists and performance groups coming to Pleiku mountain town to participate.
Currently, 19/20 localities have registered with a total of 661 artisans from the Bahnar, Jrai, Cham, H're, Tay, Mong ethnic groups... participating in performing folk songs, folk dances, folk music, traditional crafts, cuisine and folk games.
The work of displaying images and documents about President Ho Chi Minh with Gia Lai ethnic groups has so far collected about 120–150 documents, contributing to expressing Uncle Ho's feelings towards the Central Highlands people, as well as the socio-economic development achievements of the province in the past 80 years.
Gia Lai International Youth Football Festival 2026 is organized by Hoang Anh Gia Lai Sports Joint Stock Company in coordination with Gia Lai Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Football Federation from May 11 to 15 at Pleiku Stadium (Pleiku ward) and Ham Rong Training Center (Ia Bang commune).
The event attracted 12 U14 age clubs to compete, including 5 domestic teams. Especially, there was the participation of 7 foreign U14 teams including: Malaysian national team, Jubilo Iwata (Japan), Gangwon State All Stars (Korea), Mohyeon (Korea), Shenzhen (China), Chonburi (Thailand) and Kham Say (Laos).
At working sessions, inspections, and evaluations, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich affirmed: The 1st Gia Lai Provincial Ethnic Culture Festival is of great significance after arranging administrative units, especially the 80th anniversary of Uncle Ho's letter to the Congress of Southern ethnic minorities in Pleiku (April 19, 1946 - April 19, 2026).

Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club will soon make efforts to upgrade and renovate the stadium grass, medical room, press conference room, seats for more than 10,000 spectators, lighting system... to serve fans and supporters.
Football is an effective channel to promote the image of Gia Lai tourism, people and land to domestic and international tourists and friends.
