The project to renovate and upgrade the drainage and wastewater collection system in the area around Tho Quang Wharf has a total investment of 65 billion VND.
The project is implemented to ensure the collection rate according to the standards of Son Tra Wastewater Treatment Plant; limit wastewater discharged directly into Tho Quang Wharf, causing environmental pollution, affecting the lives of people and socio-economic development in the area.
The project will upgrade the existing ST4 pumping station, including building a new ST4A pumping pit, with the construction part meeting the requirements until 2045 and the equipment part meeting the requirements until 2030.
Upgrading the existing ST5 pumping station, including building a new ST5A pumping pit, the construction part meets the requirements until 2045 and the equipment part meets the requirements until 2030.
In addition, some other new projects are also being built.
Previously, according to the planning of the Fishing Port System and Storm Shelters for Fishing Vessels for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, 5 large fisheries centers will be invested in a synchronized system of fishing ports, storm shelters for fishing vessels, infrastructure and fisheries logistics services in coastal areas across the country.
In addition to the large Da Nang Fisheries Logistics Center associated with the East Sea and Hoang Sa fishing grounds in Tho Quang Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang City (Tho Quang Fishing Port and Dock) are large fishing centers in Hai Phong, Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Kien Giang.
Of which, the Fisheries Logistics Center in Da Nang is expected to receive 300 ships arriving at the port every day, with about 100,000 tons of seafood passing through the port each year.
Tho Quang fishing port and wharf is both an anchorage area for boats in the Central region and a place to gather and import seafood caught from the sea as well as to bring it to Da Nang and neighboring localities for consumption.
Da Nang authorities are investing in upgrading and expanding Tho Quang fishing port with a total investment of 250 billion VND.
