Can Tho City People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch to strengthen the work of ensuring safety, security, order, environmental sanitation, and health during the National Day on September 2.
Implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 145/CD-TTg dated August 24, 2025 on strengthening the work of ensuring safety, security, order, environmental sanitation and health during the National Day on September 2, the Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the Director of the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with agencies and localities to deploy health insurance work during the celebration activities. The health sector is responsible for directing and guiding disease prevention and control, environmental sanitation, food safety; checking drinking water, raw materials, and food at all locations; and at the same time, being ready with response forces when an epidemic occurs.
Medical facilities are mobilized and arranged with reasonable staff to establish medical teams to be on duty and provide emergency care at all locations of the celebration; ensure enough medicine, supplies, equipment, and ambulances; at the same time, direct a number of medical examination and treatment facilities to prepare emergency beds, especially during the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
The Department of Health strengthens propaganda and provides recommendations for people to proactively prevent diseases, maintain hygiene and food safety; announce the location of medical duty points to promptly support and handle incidents.
Can Tho City People's Committee assigned the City Police and the City Military Command to increase patrols, strictly handle violations of security, order and traffic safety; ensure absolute safety for people and commemorative activities; at the same time, protect sovereignty in cyberspace, prevent bad and toxic information and handle acts of taking advantage of disorder.
Can Tho City People's Committee also directed sectors and localities to ensure security, order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting; inspect the stage, stands and environmental sanitation at crowded places.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee called on people to strictly comply with laws on traffic, fire prevention and fighting, environmental sanitation; do not jostle, contribute to creating safe, joyful and complete holidays for the National Independence Day.
