Can Tho City People's Committee has just issued Official Letter No. 1338 requesting departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of communes and wards to urgently synchronously deploy solutions to improve the effectiveness of citizen reception and resolving complaints, denunciations, reflections and recommendations.
According to the People's Committee of Can Tho City, in recent times, the work of receiving people has gradually become more disciplined, establishing centralized citizen reception points, significantly reducing the situation of crowded complaints, exceeding the level, prolonging, contributing to maintaining social stability.
Implementing the direction of the Can Tho City Party Committee, the City People's Committee clearly identified the importance of thoroughly grasping and propagating policies, laws on receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations.
Accordingly, it is required that leaders of agencies and units must directly meet with the people, dialogue, and resolve them promptly; any individual who causes complaints beyond the level and for a long time will be responsible. The city also requires building a team of capable cadres with public ethics, ready to explain and guide to remove obstacles right from the grassroots.
For complicated and crowded cases, authorities at all levels must persistently mobilize and persuade, and promptly report and propose solutions to the City People's Committee or seek opinions from competent authorities if there are problems with mechanisms, policies, and laws.
