Specifically, at 10:00 a.m. on August 25, in the Southwest Coast Guard Region 4, the functional forces of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command discovered and inspected the fishing boat TG 911xx TS with suspicious signs. The ship was captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, born in 1971, located in Rach Gia ward, An Giang province, with 5 crew members on board. At the time of inspection, Mr. Cuong confessed that the fishing boat was transporting about 50,000 liters of DO oil without documents proving the legal origin of the goods.
Previously, at 8:45 a.m. on August 24, during patrolling, checking and controlling the Southwest sea, the functional forces of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command discovered and inspected the fishing boat KG 900xx TS with suspicious signs. The ship was captained by Mr. Dong Viet Cuong, born in 1994, located in Vinh Thong commune, An Giang province, with 3 crew members on board. At the time of inspection, Mr. Cuong confessed that the fishing boat was transporting about 35,000 liters of DO oil without documents proving the legal origin of the goods.
At 10:45 a.m. the same day, at the Southeast of Bo De Gate (Ca Mau), the working group of the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 discovered and inspected the fishing boat BTh 972xx TS, captained by Mr. Doan Hai Van, born in 1967, address in Dong Thap province. Through initial inspection, Mr. Van confessed that he was transporting about 30,000 liters of DO oil on the ship without documents proving the legal origin of the goods.
The authorities of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command have drawn up a record of the temporary detention of the three fishing vessels, sealed the goods and organized an escort to the unit's ports in An Giang and Ca Mau for further investigation and handling in accordance with the provisions of law.
It is known that if the above illegally transported oil is successful, it will be sold to fishing vessels operating at sea.
This is a practical feat that the officers and soldiers of Coast Guard 4 contributed to celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
