Before the Lunar New Year 2026, Hanoi Police proactively and synchronously deployed plans to ensure security, order, and traffic safety, focusing on areas organizing fireworks displays on the night of December 31st, expected to attract a large number of people and tourists.
Implementing the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee, including the fireworks display point in the Lac Long Quan flower garden area (Tay Ho ward), Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 - Hanoi Traffic Police Department has closely coordinated with Tay Ho Ward Police to develop a plan to ensure traffic order and safety in the area.
Functional forces have conducted field surveys and reviewed all roads around the fireworks display area, which is a place with high traffic density, many intersections and often crowded with people during holidays. On that basis, the units agreed on a plan to divert traffic remotely, arrange traffic control forces at key intersections, areas with potential congestion and illegal parking.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hai - Head of Road Traffic Police Team No. 2, the traffic police force will strengthen patrols and controls on roads leading to the fireworks display area, organize flexible traffic diversion to minimize traffic conflicts. Violations that are direct causes of congestion and accidents such as illegal stopping and parking, encroachment on the road, and turning the car in the wrong place will be strictly handled, and at the same time combined with guiding and supporting people.
In parallel with ensuring traffic safety, functional forces also strengthen inspection and rectification of urban order violations. Cases of encroachment on sidewalks, roadways, business, and illegal parking are reminded and required to strictly comply with regulations, returning airy space for pedestrians and vehicles to circulate.
Major Ngo Minh Duc - Deputy Head of Tay Ho Ward Police said that the unit has developed a plan to ensure security, order, fire prevention and fighting in the fireworks display area, assigned specific forces, ready to handle arising situations in a timely manner, ensuring absolute safety for people and tourists.
In the coming time, functional forces will continue to maintain troop numbers, strengthen patrols and controls, ensuring that the people of the Capital welcome the 2026 New Year in a peaceful, safe and civilized atmosphere.
