On June 8, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Ban Xeo Commune Police had just promptly searched and supported to bring a teenager who was lured by bad guys through social networks back to his family safely.
Previously, at about 9 pm on June 7, Ban Xeo Commune Police received a report from Ms. H.T. S, residing in Ta Leng village, about her daughter S.T. S (born in 2007) leaving the locality after being introduced by subjects on social networks to a garment job in Hanoi with an attractive salary.
Immediately after receiving the information, the police force deployed measures to verify, review relationships, collect relevant information and coordinate with local police to search.

Through verification, functional forces determined that S.T. S was present in Hanoi. At about 11 am on June 8, the working group of Ban Xeo Commune Police approached, supported and brought this teenager back to the locality safely and handed him over to his family.
According to Ban Xeo Commune Police, recently bad actors often take advantage of social networks to post recruitment information with content "light job, high salary", without requiring qualifications or travel expenses to attract workers, especially teenagers.
Many cases after leaving the locality have been scammed, forced to work or dragged into participating in illegal activities.
Through the incident, Ban Xeo Commune Police recommends that families need to strengthen care and management of their children; regularly propagate and guide skills in using social networks safely and identifying scams in cyberspace.
People need to be vigilant against invitations to work far away with high incomes but with unclear origins and recruitment addresses. When detecting cases of being lured, losing contact or encountering unusual situations, it is necessary to quickly notify the police agency for support and timely handling.
