On July 26, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Ban Ho Commune Police had quickly found and returned intact property worth more than 50 million VND to a female tourist who was forgotten in a taxi.
Previously, at about 9:30 am on July 25, Ban Ho Commune Police received a report from Ms. Dang Thi Dong Ha (born in 1993, residing in Xuan Lung commune, Phu Tho province) about forgetting a bag of property on a taxi after moving from the center of Sa Pa ward to Topas Ecolodge resort, in Lech Dao village, Ban Ho commune.
The assets include Fujifilm X-T30 III camera with lens, memory card box, card reader, camera charger, power bank, phone charger cable and many other personal items, with a total value of more than 50 million VND.
Immediately after receiving the information, Ban Ho Commune Police urgently verified, contacted the taxi driver and deployed searches.
At 10:20 am on the same day, after only about 50 minutes, the police force found and returned all the assets to Ms. Ha.
Receiving her property back, Ms. Ha expressed her emotion and thanked the officers and soldiers of Ban Ho Commune Police for their sense of responsibility, dedication and timely support.
According to Lao Cai Provincial Police, quickly finding valuable assets for tourists contributes to spreading the image of the People's Police soldier "Serving the People", and at the same time creates a beautiful impression of the safe and friendly tourism environment of Lao Cai province.
