On July 1, Co To Commune Police (An Giang province) said that they had caught Neang Soc Thai (born in 2000, residing in Co To commune) red-handed for illegally trading drugs; and arrested Chau Soc Nen (born in 1997, residing in Co To commune) to investigate and clarify the act of illegally possessing drugs.
Previously, Co To Commune Police received a report from the people about Neang Soc Thai showing signs of illegal drug trafficking at home.
After receiving information, the commune police quickly deployed forces to verify and ambush. At about 11:30 am on the same day, the police force caught Thai red-handed selling a piece of transparent plastic pipe, sealed at both ends, inside containing suspected drugs to Chau Soc Nen.
Conducting an inspection of the Neang Soc Thai person, the police force discovered in the pants pocket of the subject wearing 3 more transparent plastic pipes, inside containing suspected drugs. Thai confessed that all the above exhibits were methamphetamine. Discovering the police force, Chau Soc Nen ran away about 50m and was controlled. During the escape, Nen threw a piece of transparent plastic pipe to the ground containing suspected drugs. Working with the police agency, Nen admitted that these were methamphetamine drops just bought from Thai for 100,000 VND.
Co To Commune Police have made a record of arresting the offender red-handed, sealed all exhibits and continued to consolidate the file for handling according to the provisions of law.
