On September 15, according to information from the Dong Thap Provincial Police website, Hau My Commune Police (Dong Thap Province) and Team No. 2 of Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 have just discovered and handled a drug-related case.
Previously, at 7:00 p.m. on September 13, Hau My Commune Police coordinated with Group No. 2 of Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 (under the Traffic Police Department of Dong Thap Provincial Police) to carry out a plan to coordinate patrolling, controlling, ensuring security, order, and safety of road traffic on Provincial Road 869 in Hau Phu 1 Hamlet (Hau My Commune, Dong Thap Province).
At this time, the working group signaled to stop the motorbike driven by Tran Thi Ngoc Yen (29 years old, residing in My Thanh commune, Dong Thap province), carrying Vo Ngoc Phu (32 years old, residing in Doc Binh Kieu commune, Dong Thap province). Through inspection, Phu had a cigarette case containing 2 zip plastic bags with 18 plastic pipes containing white crystals, along with another plastic bag containing white crystals suspected to be drugs.
Through investigation, Phu confessed to having bought and hidden the drugs on his person for use. Rapid test results showed that both subjects tested positive for drugs.
The case is currently being further investigated and handled by the authorities according to the provisions of law.
