From the beginning of 2026 to now, commune police have seriously and effectively implemented the directions of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Provincial Police on national security protection, ensuring social order and safety, and building forces in the 2-level local police model associated with new administrative boundaries.
Through this, the political security and social order and safety situation continues to be maintained stably, without complicated, passive, and unexpected incidents occurring. The Police force of 5 communes has proactively grasped the situation early and from afar; promptly advised Party committees and local authorities on many solutions to ensure political security, religious security, network security, cultural and ideological security and socio-economic security. At the same time, well implemented the work of protecting security and safety of the 14th National Party Congress, the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 and important political, cultural and social events in the area.
Commune police have closely coordinated with professional units in the fight against crime; strengthened the management of subjects, promptly resolved conflicts within the people, and prevented the emergence of "hot spots" on security and order. Through this, 11 conflict cases have been completely resolved, and 10 remaining cases have continued to advise on stabilizing; and complicated cases related to religion, complaints, or rural security have not occurred. In addition, Party building, force building, and logistics - technical work continue to have many positive changes. The implementation of tasks of Steering Committee 35 has been maintained effectively; propaganda, public opinion orientation, and the fight against harmful and toxic information in cyberspace have been strengthened.
In the field of administrative management, the Police of communes have well implemented the work of issuing ID cards and electronic identification accounts to citizens; the rate of approval of electronic identification dossiers reached 100%, the rate of people with level 2 identification accounts reached 80%. At the same time, completed reviewing and creating data on relatives of unidentified martyrs in 1,688 cases, reaching 100%.
Assessing the achieved results, Colonel Le Phu Thanh, Deputy Director of An Giang Provincial Police, assessed that the commune police have promoted the spirit of responsibility, quickly stabilized the organization, closely followed the area, firmly grasped the situation right from the grassroots level, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety.
