From early morning, a large number of students were present, queuing orderly to complete procedures, check their health and participate in blood donation. Many final year students still took advantage of participating before entering the internship phase, doing graduation projects. The atmosphere of the festival took place seriously, warmly and full of sharing spirit.
Blood donation activities at Dong A University also have the participation of lecturers, school staff and police forces. This companionship contributes to spreading the message of compassion, building an educational environment rich in community responsibility.
Sharing at the program, Dr. Nguyen The Cong - Deputy Head of Training Management and Student Affairs Department - said that each blood donation is a clearer feeling of the value of sharing. This is also a way to connect lecturers and students in socially meaningful activities.
As one of the typical faces, M.A. Pham Van Duong - a lecturer at the school - has donated blood 17 times. According to him, voluntary blood donation has become a beautiful tradition, a persistent journey of responsibility and compassion throughout the school.
Through 45 times of organization, the program has received a total of 14,744 units of blood. In addition, the "Living Blood Bank" model maintained by students has promptly supported many emergency cases, especially for rare blood types.
This festival is organized by the School Youth Union in coordination with the City Youth Union and Da Nang Hospital. The activity contributes practically to responding to Youth Month, and at the same time arouses the spirit of volunteering in the young generation.
