Dak Lak - In just 3 days, the authorities have discovered and fined many fishing boat owners for illegally storing electric shock devices to catch aquatic products.

From August 2 to 4, Border Guard Stations under the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command organized many patrols and controls in key coastal areas.

Thereby, 5 violations related to inland waterway traffic and fisheries exploitation activities were detected and handled.

For example, on the afternoon of August 3, while patrolling the sea area of Phu Lac quarter (Hoa Hiep ward), the Hoa Hiep Nam Border Guard Station Working Group discovered a fishing boat owned by Mr. L.V.S with suspicious signs.

During an administrative inspection, the authorities discovered that Mr. S was storing an electric shock device to exploit aquatic products. The unit has drawn up a record and imposed administrative fines according to regulations.

Faced with the complicated situation of violations, the Border Guard continues to coordinate with local authorities to step up propaganda and dissemination of laws, while strengthening inspection and control at sea.

The goal is to raise awareness of law compliance in aquatic product exploitation, effectively prevent the use of prohibited fishing gear and destructive fishing methods.
