The third Sunday of November every year is chosen by the United Nations General Assembly as the "World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims". In 2024, it will be held on Sunday (November 17, 2024).
Accordingly, the activities in response to "World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims" aim to raise awareness and compliance with laws on traffic safety and order, and prevent traffic accidents with the messages "Traffic accidents - The pain remains", "Remembering the departed - For the living".
The activities not only share the pain and loss with the victims' families, but also warn the whole society about the disaster of traffic accidents, the causes and risks of traffic accidents, especially for students and vulnerable groups; enhance the responsibility of the traffic safety force; contribute to reducing traffic accidents and gradually building a culture of safe traffic.
Accordingly, the Organizing Committee will call for help and sharing from the community about the losses and damages of victims and families of traffic accident victims.
