On January 2, information from the Military Command of Bac Kan province said that this unit had just successfully detonated a 300 kg bomb.
Previously, in the Bat Cave area, Mr. Vu Ngoc Tu's family (Nong Ha commune, Cho Moi district) was digging the ground to open a road when they discovered a bomb. This is a bomb weighing 550 pounds (equivalent to 300 kg), used during the US imperialists' war of destruction in the North.
Mr. Tu reported the incident to the local authorities. Afterwards, the Provincial Military Command arrived at the scene and removed the bomb.
The bomb has now been successfully detonated using both electric and conventional detonation methods.
