On February 15, the Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with Viet Duc Friendship Hospital and Hai Duong General Hospital to organize the "Spring Red" festival with the theme "Donate blood at the beginning of spring - Increase happiness".
The festival was held at 2 locations, including: the headquarters of the People's Committee of Tran Hung Dao Ward (Hai Duong City) and Hai Duong Medical Technical University. There were nearly 1,000 cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and students registering to donate blood voluntarily. As a result, the units collected 819 units of blood. The process of blood collection, storage and transportation of blood is all carried out safely and effectively.
According to the assessment of the Hai Duong Provincial Red Cross Society, the units have done a good job of propaganda; carefully prepared gifts to give to blood donors. Thanks to that, the "Spring Red" festival has received the attention and active response of all classes of people.
Since the beginning of the year, the Red Cross Society has organized 6 voluntary blood donation campaigns and collected nearly 3,000 units of blood. In 2025, the whole province plans to collect 26,000 units of blood, an increase of 1,000 units compared to the previous year.
