On April 9, Tuy An Health Center (Dak Lak province) said that the unit has coordinated with health stations and primary and secondary schools in Tuy An commune to organize 4 direct communication sessions on rabies prevention and control for nearly 1,400 students.
At communication sessions, propagandists of Tuy An Medical Center provided necessary information about rabies and prevention methods, focusing on the following contents: raising awareness of the danger of rabies; disease prevention and control measures; things to know about rabies; how to treat wounds when bitten by dogs or scratched by cats, and many other related contents.
In the communication process, propagandists answered students' questions about rabies; and at the same time strengthened two-way interaction through key questions, helping them memorize knowledge longer, as well as assess the level of absorption after being propagated.
Mr. Hoang Hai Phuc - Director of the Dak Lak Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC) affirmed that propaganda on rabies prevention and control at schools is a practical activity, contributing to promoting close coordination between schools and parents in disease prevention and control.
This activity helps students recognize the risks, know how to stay away from animals with abnormal expressions, and at the same time implement safety measures when raising dogs and cats such as rabies vaccination for pets.
