On the morning of April 1st, Van Ban Commune Police (Lao Cai province) mobilized more than ten officers, coordinated with two educational institutions in the area to organize a surprise inspection of nearly 1,500 high school students.

This activity aims to promptly detect and prevent violations of school regulations, and at the same time prevent the risk of insecurity and unsafety in the educational environment.
According to information from Van Ban Commune Police, at Van Ban High School No. 1, functional forces conducted inspections of nearly 1,000 students. The results showed that no cases of carrying banned substances or dangerous items were detected.
Meanwhile, at the Van Ban Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center, functional forces discovered 2 students carrying sharp knives, and 2 other students carrying cigarettes and lighters into the classroom.

Functional agencies assess that bringing dangerous items and stimulants into schools is a serious violation of regulations, potentially leading to school violence as well as other legal violations if not detected and prevented in time.
Van Ban Commune Police said that most students in the area have a good awareness of complying with school regulations. However, there is still a small part of violators, requiring more drastic involvement from families, schools and functional forces.
In the coming time, Van Ban Commune Police will continue to strengthen surprise inspections at educational institutions; and at the same time promote propaganda and dissemination of laws to raise awareness and compliance of students.
Along with that, violations will be strictly handled, combined with education and deterrence to prevent recurrence.
The police force also recommends that parents need to strengthen management and education of their children, and closely coordinate with schools in detecting and preventing violations from an early stage.
For students, it is necessary to raise self-awareness, absolutely do not bring weapons, banned substances or dangerous items to school in any form, contributing to building a safe, healthy, non-violent school environment.
