Gia Lai continuously arrests cases of illegal firecracker trading and transportation

Gia Lai - During the peak period of crime suppression, the police force continuously discovered and arrested many subjects transporting and trading illegal fireworks.

On January 4, Gia Lai Provincial Police said that during the implementation of the peak period of attacking and suppressing crime, the police force in localities continuously discovered and arrested subjects with acts of transporting and illegally trading fireworks.

Accordingly, on the evening of January 1, 2026, in the trail area of Son village (Ia Nan commune), the commune police coordinated with the Border Guard to catch 1 subject red-handed illegally transporting 67 kg of exploding fireworks. The subject was identified as Do The Hung (born 1987, residing in Ia Nan commune).

Working with functional agencies, Hung confessed to buying the above firecrackers from an acquaintance across the Cambodian border, then transporting them back to Vietnam for storage and resale to make a profit.

Previously, on December 26, 2025, Ia Hru Commune Police discovered and arrested Le Van Di (born 1986, residing in Vinh Long province) and Huynh Van Sinh (born 1977, residing in Ia Sao commune, Gia Lai province) when both were transporting 36 boxes of exploding fireworks, with a total weight of 59kg.

The above firecrackers were transported by the 2 subjects from Duc Co commune to sell to buyers in Ring village (Ia Hru commune).

Currently, functional forces are continuing to investigate, consolidate the file and handle the subjects according to regulations.
