Before the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, Hanoi strengthens inspection and rectification of parking spots on roads and sidewalks to ensure traffic order and safety and create favorable conditions for people to participate in elections.
To serve the organization of Election Day, the Hanoi Department of Construction has just requested relevant units to strengthen inspection and rectification of vehicle parking activities in the city.
Accordingly, units licensed to temporarily use roads and sidewalks to park vehicles must strictly comply with the provisions of law and the contents of the licensed permit.
Units need to proactively review and renovate the paint marking system at old, blurred parking spots; ensure clear markings, in the correct location and allowed area. At the same time, fully supplement "P" signs indicating parking places, service price listings and fire prevention and fighting equipment according to regulations.
The Department of Construction also requested to strengthen the dissemination of regulations to the team of parking attendants, rectify service attitudes, and ensure that vehicle parking activities take place in an orderly and civilized manner.
In addition, units are encouraged to apply technology in finding parking locations and paying for non-cash services, in order to create convenience for people and ensure correct toll collection according to regulations.
The Department of Construction assigned specialized departments such as the Department of Transport Inspection, the Department of Construction Inspection and the Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting to coordinate with local authorities and the City Police to strengthen inspection and handle violations at parking lots.
Functional forces will arrange checkpoints to guide and arrange vehicles, contributing to maintaining traffic order and safety, urban order and fire prevention and fighting safety in areas and polling locations.
For the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board, the Department requests to strengthen patrols and inspections on roads where parking is often occurring day and night, causing traffic unsafety.
When violations of paint lines, signs or inappropriate parking spots are detected, the unit needs to promptly report, coordinate handling and propose adjustments or revocation of locations that affect traffic organization.
The Department of Construction also assigned the Traffic Infrastructure Management Department to urge units to implement, and at the same time coordinate with functional forces to regularly review temporary vehicle parking points that have been licensed, summarize results and propose handling measures according to regulations.
Strengthening inspection and rectification of vehicle parking activities is expected to contribute to ensuring smooth traffic, maintaining urban order and creating favorable conditions for people to participate in Election Day safely and in accordance with regulations.
