On November 22, in Ca Mau, Squadron 42/Coast Guard Region 4 Command held a conference to summarize the work of the Coast Guard in 2025.
In 2025, the Party Committee of Squadron 42 has thoroughly grasped the situation and tasks, focused on leadership, direction, synchronously and comprehensively deploying all aspects of work, successfully completing the assigned tasks and targets, and having many tasks completed excellently. The unit regularly maintains combat readiness forces and vehicles, proactively grasps the situation in the air and at sea, and handles situations well, not being passive or surprised.
The squadron deployed and monitored 108 operating ships and boats, safer sailing more than 41,200 nautical miles; resolutely and persistently pushing away foreign fishing vessels violating Vietnam's waters; inspecting and propagating regulations on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing to 2378 vessels/16,780 fishermen.

Combat training work is maintained strictly, seriously, with quality and on schedule. Successfully organized a strategic round drill, training and testing of live ammunition at sea in 2025; participated in a command and consultation drill at both sides at both levels to ensure absolute safety; participated in competitions and sports festivals at the Regional Command level, the Squadron had many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.
Patrol, inspection, and control of law enforcement activities; fight against crime and violations are vigorously implemented. In 2025, the Squadron directly arrested 3 cases/3 ships transporting 128,643 liters of DO oil and 30 tons of sugar without invoices and documents proving legal origin, coordinated to arrest 2 cases/2 subjects for illegal possession of drugs and handed them over to the police for handling according to the law.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Dao Ba Viet - Commander of the Region - acknowledged and commended the efforts, attempts and outstanding results that the officers and soldiers of Squadron 42 have achieved in 2025. The Commander of the Region requested that in the coming time, the unit continue to maintain and promote the achievements it has achieved, uphold the spirit of solidarity, overcome difficulties, and actively proactively and effectively implement the Coast Guard work plan for 2026 and the following years. Continuously improve the quality of the synthesis, focus on building a clean and strong Party Committee that is exemplary, a comprehensively strong unit that is "exemplary and exemplary", successfully completing all assigned tasks.
At the conference, the Head of the Squadron awarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the Emulation and Decision-to-Win movement in 2025.
Also on this occasion, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command organized a democratic dialogue conference between the Head of the Region Command and officers and soldiers of Squadron 42 in the fourth quarter of 2025. The dialogue conference is an opportunity for the heads of the Regional Command to directly listen to the thoughts and aspirations of officers and soldiers, promptly grasp the ideological situation and problems arising during the study, work and activities at the unit and behind the family.
