By the end of May 2025, Hai Duong province has achieved positive results in implementing and disbursing public investment capital, with many drastic and synchronous management solutions. Detailed disbursement scenarios for each month and quarter have been developed and effectively implemented, contributing to promoting the progress of key projects and works.
According to the Hai Duong Provincial Statistics Office, it is estimated that in May alone, the total investment capital from the state budget managed by the locality reached about 806.5 billion VND, an increase of 129.5% over the same period last year. Of which, provincial capital reached 555.2 billion VND (up 139.6%), district capital reached 230.6 billion VND (up 125%), commune level reached 20.6 billion VND (up 20.5%).
Accumulated in the first 5 months of the year, the total public investment capital from the state budget managed by the locality reached about VND 2,804.2 billion, up 94.5% over the same period in 2024, reaching 26.8% of the annual plan. Of which, provincial capital accounts for 61%, district capital accounts for 36%, commune capital accounts for 3%.
Some major projects with high disbursement progress include: The project to build intersections connecting National Highway 17B with National Highway 5 and the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, with a total capital of VND 1,867 billion, has so far completed VND 902.1 billion, reaching 48.3%. The project to renovate and upgrade road 395 and the Cay bridge approach road reached 771.6 billion VND, equivalent to 94.4% of the total investment capital.
In addition, the project to build a road and Van bridge connecting Chi Linh city with Kinh Mon town has been implemented with 484.4 billion VND (37.4%); Kinh Mon overpass project reached 343.8 billion VND (57.3%); Provincial Social Protection Center project reached 192.7 billion VND (50.8%).
The agricultural - irrigation sector also has positive progress with the Irrigation canal dredging and pumping station renovation project implemented with 92.6 billion VND, reaching 55.2%.
These results show Hai Duong's efforts in promoting the disbursement of public investment capital associated with infrastructure development and improving people's lives. In the coming time, the province will continue to direct localities and units to speed up construction progress, promptly remove obstacles, and strive to complete the disbursement targets set for the year.
