On July 2nd, the Ngai Tu Commune Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization Committee (Vinh Long province) in coordination with Can Tho Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital organized the first voluntary blood donation program in 2026 at the Commune Party Committee Hall.
The program attracted nearly 200 officials, civil servants, public employees, union members, association members, police officers, military forces, teachers, health station staff and people in the area to participate. Before donating blood, volunteers were screened, consulted on health and fully implemented the procedures according to regulations.
With the message "Blood donation saves lives - A noble gesture", "Each drop of blood given - A life left behind", a large number of volunteers actively responded to the program. At the end of the blood donation session, the Organizing Committee received 107 standard blood units, supplementing the reserve blood source for emergency and treatment work at medical facilities.
The program contributes to supplementing blood reserves for emergency and treatment work at medical facilities, and at the same time continues to spread the spirit of voluntary blood donation and responsibility to the community.
