On July 1st, the Vinh Long Provincial Red Cross Society organized the handover of funds to support the construction of 10 houses of gratitude, each worth 60 million VND, for households in difficult circumstances in Song Phu commune, Hieu Phung commune, Trung Thanh commune, Quoi An commune. The total budget of 600 million VND is sponsored by Tra Vinh Lottery Co., Ltd.
The supported households are all in difficult housing circumstances, with unstable incomes. The program contributes to helping people have conditions to build solid housing, gradually stabilize their lives, feel secure in working and develop the family economy.
As one of the 10 households receiving support funds, Mr. Luong Hoang Phong, residing in Phu Nghia hamlet, Song Phu commune, said that his family has lived mainly as hired laborers for many years, with unstable income, so they do not have the conditions to build a house. This support amount helps the family reduce the burden and soon realize their dream of having a solid home.
The activity of donating funds to build houses of gratitude shows the joint efforts of organizations and businesses in social security work, contributing to helping households in difficult circumstances improve living conditions, creating motivation to rise up to stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably.
