According to the People's Committee of Kien Minh commune, the new urban area project in Duong Kinh district and Kien Thuy district (old), the total area of recovered land is 240.6 hectares. Of which, Kien Thuy district (old) has 133.5 hectares; of which Dong Phuong commune (old) has 97.4 hectares, Dai Dong (old) has 36.1 hectares, with 998 households, individuals and 2 organizations. The locality approved a compensation and support plan for 998 households, individuals and organizations with land and assets attached to them; the recovered land area is 133.2 ha; the total amount is 552.18 billion VND. Before the establishment of Kien Minh commune, Kien Thuy district (old) had cleared 129.67/133.5 hectares; there were 3.83 hectares that had not been cleared, of which, households had not agreed to receive money and had not handed over the land to 5 households in Dai Dong commune (old); Dong Phuong commune (old) 8 households.
As soon as Kien Minh commune was established, the locality focused on implementing site clearance to hand over the project. Local authorities, together with departments and organizations, actively propagate and mobilize households within the project to comply with the state's policies and guidelines. With a high sense of responsibility, synchronous coordination and flexible working methods, all levels and sectors have successfully mobilized all related households to hand over the site on schedule, creating favorable conditions for the construction unit to implement the project.
To date, Kien Minh commune has cleared 133.5 ha/133.5 ha. The results achieved in the project's site clearance work demonstrate the consensus of the people and the determination of the political system in implementing the socio-economic development tasks of the locality.
The Commune People's Committee commended 4 collectives and 18 individuals with outstanding achievements in site clearance, contributing to creating favorable conditions for the construction unit to implement the project on schedule. At the same time, the Decision to establish the Steering Committee for site clearance to implement the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong Railway Investment Project was announced.
