On March 23, the Vietnam Women's Union and Unilever Vietnam International Co., Ltd. organized an assessment of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement for the period 2022 - 2025.
The conference was organized with the participation of leaders of the Vietnam Women's Union, Unilever Vietnam, representatives of the Women's Union of 21 provinces and cities, and was an opportunity for the two sides to review outstanding results, share effective implementation models at the grassroots level and agree on cooperation orientations for the next phase.
Granting start-up capital for 137 startup projects
Within the framework of the Long-term Cooperation Agreement for the period 2022–2027, the program between Unilever Vietnam and the Vietnam Women's Union has gradually affirmed the role of an effective public-private partnership model, towards the goal of enhancing economic empowerment, improving health and quality of life for Vietnamese women, especially in rural areas and areas with many difficulties.
The program is implemented according to three key pillars: Raising awareness and changing behavior about hygiene, health, environment and building a prosperous, happy, progressive, and civilized family; Promoting economic empowerment, supporting women to start businesses, create jobs and increase income; Strengthening social security, supporting women and families vulnerable to natural disasters and social upheavals...

Within the framework of activities promoting hygiene and nutrition, the 2022–2025 period has recorded clear impacts in raising awareness and promoting changes in women's health care behavior, especially in rural areas and areas with many difficulties.
For example, the series of events "Village cleanliness - Building healthy clean habits with women" implemented by Unilever Vietnam in coordination with the Vietnam Women's Union and the Lifebuoy brand has brought free general health check-ups, medical consultations, hand washing instructions with 6 steps and communication about personal hygiene and disease prevention. The direct, close approach helps the program create positive changes from daily habits, contributing to protecting family and community health...
As a pillar of cooperation, economic empowerment programs in the 2022–2025 period have supported tens of thousands of women to access knowledge, financial resources and business skills, helping them gradually improve their livelihoods, increase income and be more proactive in economic life.
Through the program "Vietnamese Women Confidently Do Business" with the support of the Sunlight brand, training activities on starting a business, financial management and developing household economic models have been widely implemented in many localities. From 2022 to now, the program has supported startup capital for 137 startup projects with a total budget of over 2 billion VND. Many women after participating in the program have boldly started businesses, expanded production and business, aiming for financial autonomy and actively contributed to local economic development.
Contributing to changing thinking, promoting internal strength and confidence of women
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, implementing the cooperation agreement for the 2022-2027 period, the Vietnam Women's Union and Unilever Vietnam Company have focused on implementing activities to improve the quality of life and empower women through business development and health education. Through practical implementation, the activities not only stop at raising awareness but also contribute to changing thinking, promoting internal strength and confidence to help women be more proactive in life and actively contribute to their families and communities. When women are empowered and supported at the right time, they will become stronger and make important contributions to the happiness of their families and the sustainable development of the country.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Nhi - Deputy General Director of Communications, External Relations and Sustainable Development, Unilever Vietnam affirmed: From the cooperation foundation built in the past time, we will continue to accompany the Vietnam Women's Union to expand support models, improve economic capacity and quality of life for women, towards sustainable development.
On this occasion, 30 winning projects under the program "Vietnamese Women Confidently Do Business" in 2025 were honored and awarded prizes.
At the Conference, the Vietnam Women's Union gave key orientations for the cooperation program for the period 2026 – 2027 and launched a communication campaign on Vietnam Family Day (June 28).
