On the afternoon of September 19, in Hue City, the Workshop "Green Transformation and Industrial Investment Attraction Strategy in Hue City" took place, attracting more than 150 delegates who are leaders of ministries, experts, and domestic and foreign enterprises to attend.
The workshop is an activity within the framework of the Green Vietnam project initiated by Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance (PRO Vietnam), in coordination with the People's Committee of Hue City. The goal is to promote green transformation, building Hue City into a destination to attract high-tech investment, sustainable industrial development associated with heritage.
The presentations at the workshop focused on the potential for developing green industrial parks in Hue, experience from Japan, FDI investment trends and solutions to exploit local advantages.
Representatives of the Department of Climate Change (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), the Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the Department of Foreign Investment (Ministry of Finance), the Vietnam Economic Research Institute and many businesses contributed many multidimensional perspectives, enthusiastically discussing solutions to attract green investment.
Mr. Phan Quy Phuong - Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee said that Hue is facing a golden opportunity to reshape the future with a green and smart industrial model.
"This is not only an inevitable trend but also the only way for us to both develop the economy and preserve the inherent cultural and environmental values of the Ancient Capital," Mr. Phuong emphasized.
The leaders of Hue City are committed to creating the most favorable conditions, from perfecting mechanisms and preferential policies on taxes, land, and credit to simplifying administrative procedures, creating a transparent and fair investment environment.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Hue City signed strategic cooperation agreements with a number of typical enterprises in green transformation, and awarded investment certificates to enterprises.
